https://ojs.mediageo.it/index.php/GEOmedia/article/view/1948

This paper has the main purpose of proposing a methodology to understand the occupation of parking spots by using the synergy of different geomatic techniques. Aerial, satellites, and UAV data are studied through the OBIA to analyse, by change detection, the main differences pre-, during and post-lockdown due to Covid-19.

The first results are really promising and pave the ground for a future automation of the proposed procedure. The results can be also integrated in BIM and GIS to help the management of utilities consumption in emergency periods, and they create a dataset to enhance and increase consumption efficiency in residential areas.
Sara ZolliniMaria AlicandroDonatella Dominici

PASSport is an Operational Platform managing a fleet of semi-autonomous drones exploiting GNSS High Accuracy and Authentication to improve Security & Safety in port areas. EUSPA funded the project that responds to the needs expressed by
port authorities, harbour master and border control authorities by extending situational awareness to improve safety and security in port areas.
Marco Nisi

https://ojs.mediageo.it/index.php/GEOmedia/article/view/1950

The study presents a method to determine window opening time and frequency, considering window characteristics, indoor and outdoor conditions, and room occupancy.
Results reveal that opening time correlates with room surface and occupancy but diminishes with larger window areas and favourable discharge coefficients based on window types.
Additionally, in windless conditions, opening time decreases as the indooroutdoor temperature difference increases.
Giulia LambertiGiacomo Salvadori

https://ojs.mediageo.it/index.php/GEOmedia/article/view/1952

Jamming interference to GNSS receivers is a growing threat as more systems and devices rely on GNSS for Positioning, Navigation, and timing (PNT). The European GNSS Agency (GSA today EAASA) estimated there were 6.4 billion GNSS-enabled devices in use worldwide in 2019, and forecasts this will rise to 9.5 billion by 2029 — equivalent to 1.1 devices for every
person in the world.
Marco Lisi

https://ojs.mediageo.it/index.php/GEOmedia/article/view/1946

The COVID-19 pandemic has had an unprecedented impact on various aspects of our lives, including education, work
dynamics, and social interactions. Dealing with the provision of building utilities in such circumstances has become a formidable challenge. During lockdowns, it becomes crucial to allocate resources strategically, giving priority to residential areas over commercial and financial districts based on population density. Identifying residential areas is of utmost importance
not only for effective emergency response during natural disasters but also for ensuring fair distribution of electricity and
gas when resources are scarce. However, accurately delineating residential zones is challenging due to the intricate nature of
urban landscapes.
This paper aims to discuss a comprehensive indicator that utilizes open-source intelligence and incorporates a multi-criteria
decision-making framework to assess the likelihood of an area being residential.

This indicator will greatly assist in optimizing resource allocation for power, gas, and water distribution. To demonstrate
the effectiveness of the proposed approach, a case study conducted in Nicosia, Cyprus, is presented.
simone guarinoCamilla FioravantiGabriele OlivaRoberto SetolaGiovanni DeAngelisMarcello Coradini
